The city’s Library Board will make some decisions tonight about proposed changes to their internet use policy.

Chair Josh Morgan says they have been hearing concerns from the public over whether or not they will filter content deemed “inappropriate” on library computers.

Weeks ago the Abused Women’s Centre and other groups made a presentation to the Board, calling on them to install pornography filters on all of their computers.

Morgan says they already filter content on some computers, and they will consider asking patrons to follow their charter of use policies while using any computer in the library, even their own.

Morgan says the filters that are already in place are on computers in high traffic areas, and the ones used by teens and children.
